There are prerequisites for entry to studying subjects at NCEA Level 2 which are clearly outlined in the Year 12 Course book. Many subjects require a certain number of credits to have been gained in specific Achievement Standards to guarantee entry into a Level 2 course. Students who do not meet the criteria need to have approval from their Dean and the HOD of the subject.
All Year 12 students will have an interview with their Dean after they received their NCEA results to confirm their course.
Year 13 Courses (NCEA Level Three)
Year 13 students may choose any five subjects.
The school provides a wide range of option subjects. More details of these are available in the Year 13 Course book. It is important to check entry criteria for University or other Tertiary institution before choosing Year 13 subjects.
