Year 9 pupil, Sam Thorpe-Loversuch, was narrowly beaten into second place in a sprint finish in the Under 15 Boys’ Club Road Cycling Nationals last month. He was also second in the time trial section.

Sam is a key member of the school’s junior boys’ triathlon team which won the Hawkes Bay Secondary Schools competition.  The Karamu team also competed at the Nationals held at Karapiro, where they came fifth against strong opposition.
